August 9 is National Book Lovers Day. I'm glad that day wasn't celebrated by "Fahrenheit 451" author Ray Bradbury.
August 11 is National Presidential Joke Day. President Barack Obama wants to change that to everyday he has to deal with Congress.
August 21 is National Senior Citizen's Day. A lot of seniors are looking forward to celebrating by collecting Social Security, which the government calls fixed income. I wish they would fix it.
Most seniors I know drawing unemployment checks are broke. They can't even afford pencils to draw more checks.
When senior citizens decide to get with the program, they're referring to AARP – Arthritis Alleviation Remedy Procedures.
I'm looking forward to being a senior citizen so I can do things I've never had time to do such as play Bingo, visit the grandchildren and travel to Canada for cheap prescriptions.
I don't know why people refer to senior citizens as old because a lot of them have new hips, new knees and new teeth.
